Bloomfield, CT - Consultant. Redesign of medium-sized disability
insurance call center database. ~160 tables, 400 mbytes data, 40

- North East Fasteners, Terryville, CT -
Consultant. Assisted NEF in moving their Access database to SQL
Server back end. Miscellaneous maintenance tasks on the existing
database.
- North East Fasteners, Terryville, CT - IT Manager
- Permanent position. Responsible for all information
technology. Continued development of the business database,
moving into a quoting application. Designed bar coding
application to track production tickets from order entry through
manufacturing, to outside processing and shipment to customer.
Designed a database to integrate screw specification tables from
published books into the production database to allow instant retrieval
of head and thread specs for each order being manufactured.
- North East Fasteners, Terryville, CT - Consultant - Database
analyst / developer. - Developed a business db to track orders,
production tickets, product heading, threading, plating, heat treating,
shipping, and ISO 9000 compliance for a manufacturer of small and
miniature screws. Extensive data migration required from an old
Access 97 barely relational db to recover old business history.
- Kualli Maquila, Puebla Mexico - Consultant.
Designed and implemented a shop floor tracking database for a clothing
manufacturer maquila (factory) in Puebla, Mexico. System
allows tracking all production aspects of the manufacturing process.
Includes Client, Style, Cut, Cut size, Bundle, and Bundle
operations. Bar code labels are generated for each bundle and each
operation. Statistical reports generated include operator efficiency
and cut / style progress. Client reported a 15% increase in
efficiency within weeks of implementation as a direct result of
improved manufacturing control using the database.
- Cord Communications - Consultant. Developed Netbuild
Project Management database. ~170 tables and seven frontends.
Database manages all phases of site survey, leasing, and development,
and building of radio towers for the communications industry.
Also manages clients, projects, search rings, sites, leases, landlords,
etc. Currently uses two replicated Access backends, with expected
move to SQL Server 7 and up to 10 more backends in branch offices.
- Sonopress, Ireland - Consultant. Spent 55 days onsite in
Dublin, Ireland. Designed seven databases to handle various
needs, including inventory balancing between the ISIS system and IEC
inventory storage, PID number database for labeling Microsoft CDs,
redesign of factory time reporting database. Redesigned
label-printing software, boosting output from 3,000 labels per hour to
more than 25,000 labels per hour by using a dedicated label printer
with built-in label printer language and direct communication via the
serial port.
- TESA, Puebla, Mexico - Consultant. Designed Microsoft Access
database to call the BPM-2000 bill payer (a machine used for Telmex
telephone bill payments) and download data from the machines.
Designed reports regarding usage by machine, by month, etc.
- TESA, Puebla, Mexico - Consultant. Designed and implemented
micro controller software in 'C' for the DCR-1000 debit card retailer,
a machine that sells Telmex phone cards. The DCR-1000 is fully
programmable for card price, bill acceptance, etc.
- Senior Publishers - Designed advertising
agency database to allow automatic lookup of newspaper advertising
rates by ad size, solicitation and acceptance of ads for newspaper
placement, shipment of negatives to newspapers, confirmations of ad
placements, client billings, and payments.
